Welcome to the BAS Counselor's Corner

 

Thank you for visiting my school counseling page! As I start my first year as part of the Cranford school district, I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with the students and families here at BAS.

As the school counselor, my goal is to support all students in achieving happy, healthy, and successful growth socially, emotionally, and academically during these important years. I meet with students individually and in small groups, as well as provide classroom lessons focused on building the skills they need to thrive.

Developing strong friendship, communication, and problem-solving skills helps children build confidence, manage challenges, and feel more connected to their peers. When students feel secure and supported, they are better able to stay focused, engage in learning, and succeed academically.  In addition, to ensure students get the support they need in order to reach their greatest potential both in and out of the classroom, it is vitally important that I collaborate with all teaching and support staff, families, and the Cranford community.
