The Cranford Board of Education is pleased to announce Ron Litz as the new Principal of Bloomingdale Avenue School. Mr. Litz was selected after an extensive search process which included multiple interviews with the selection committee; reviews of work samples; and a very thorough reference check.
Mr. Litz began his career as a middle school teacher in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District in 2010 where he taught seventh grade social studies. Additionally, he served on numerous committees, including curriculum, intervention and referral services, and school culture and climate. He also served as regional director for the New Jersey Council for Social Studies. Mr. Litz was named an Exemplary Educator within New Jersey Public Schools in 2019. In 2021, he transitioned into administration as the vice principal of two kindergarten through fifth grade schools in Randolph. During this time, he supported teachers in analyzing data to enhance learning practices while also overseeing the Intervention and Referral Services Team, organizing workshops for new teachers in the district, and serving on the School Improvement Panel.
Mr. Litz earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership, both from Montclair State University.
Mr. Litz is honored to be joining the Cranford Public School District as the principal of Bloomingdale Avenue School and cannot wait to get started. He looks forward to collaborating with the dedicated staff, parents/guardians, students, and community at Bloomingdale to ensure a continued strong school-home connection and a successful 2024-2025 school year.
