The Department of Education encourages school districts to participate in the “Take Your Children to Work Day.” Students who opt to take part in this program will not be penalized for a day of absence from school.
This year the national “Take Your Children to Work Day” is Thursday, April 25, 2024. The goal of this day is to give your child an opportunity to learn and see what you do at work and to start thinking about careers.
If your child is going to work with a parent/guardian and will not be in school, please complete and return the form - CLICK HERE - no later than Monday, April 22, 2024 . This will assist us with attendance and enable the classroom teacher to plan appropriate lessons. Completing the form will eliminate the need to call in for your child’s absences.
